Hi to All!
Thanks to all of you who attended this years’ Croptoberfest!! It was a great day, even if it was a little long! But for those of you who attended there were lots of really good comment on the survey that you liked the new format!! Almost everyone liked the location at the St. Lawrence Hall and I felt it was a great space! The lighting was great, the space was cozy and warm and it was convenient to the shop! Most everyone also had positive thing to say about having Croptoberfest a one day event. The comment that came across most was that you still had a weekend by having the Sunday off! I must say it was a lot easier for me to have it close to the shop, and not having to pack up and bring the shop to the crop sure made clean up easier and a lot quicker!! I was all unpacked and back in order after Monday’s work day! Because of that,I have been able to get to work on some really neat Christmas classes! Keep reading to find out what’s coming and what you can register for now!
Just a quick note to tell you what’s new at Magical Memories!!
I have new Christmas products from Bo-Bunny, Basic Grey, SEI and Fancy Pants. 4 very different lines and all beautiful! Also from Basic Grey the new Fall line called Indian Summer. Gorgeous deep rich autumn colors! New METALLIC PAPER PADS from Momenta, new girls line from Flair “Fresh and Fabulous”, new baby line from Fancy Pants – too cute! Also from Fancy Pants new chipboard and felt products. New organizational products from Cropper Hopper, new Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Mist “chips”, lots of neat new stuff from Tim Holtz collection called “Ideology”. New albums, new from Kaiser “beyond the page” designer albums and other projects all made from compressed wood!! Check out the website for an update on the new items! Also, on the way are new Christmas embossing folders for your Cuttlebug!!
Also, if you haven’t got your copy of the Fall issue of Canadian Scrapbooker I do still have a few in stock, as well as the 4th vol of the Basics edition of Canadian Scrapbooker. This is a great one as it is all about how to use embellishments in your Scrapbooking and card making, it’s got some great ideas!

New class schedule
CHRISTMAS ADVENT CALENDAR – In this class we will make a 12 x 12 wooden advent calendar using the new Kaisercraft compressed board calendar kit. It is a really neat class. There are 24 little chipboard boxes nestled in this wooden frame which we will decorate using various mediums such as paint, glimmermist, glossy accents and of course paper. In the center of this frame is an 8 x 8 page. It is a very cute project, but very time consuming to produce! I will be offering two classes. One will be a 2 night class, Thurs. Nov. 19th and Thurs. Nov. 26th. The 2nd will be an all day class on Sunday, Nov. 22nd. The cost of this class is $40.00. I will take 5 people in each class. Drop down to the shop to check out the sample and to sign up! Some supplies needed.
KIDS CLASS – Our next kids class is on Mon. Nov. 30th, 7:00 to 8:15 pm. It will be a Halloween theme. Kids can bring 2-3 4x6 photos, some horizontal and some vertical. Cost is $10.00
2010 Calendar Class – This is a Basic Grey 8 x 8 spiral bound calendar. It is a beautiful calendar that you can insert 4 x 6 photos into. It uses Basic Greys’ current and past paper lines and embellishments! Really nice. It will be on Mon. Nov. 23. Cost is $28.00. Basic kit and chalking inks needed. Drop down to see the sample and to sign up.
JOY Wallhanging – I was able to get a few more supplies to put on this class again this year! It is the word JOY covered in paper and embellishments and a photo can be inserted in the letter O! It will be on Mon. Dec. 14th. Cost of this class is $15.00. Sample will be up after next week.
If you are interested in any of these classes drop down to the shop to register to confirm your place. There are limited spaces for classes, so don’t wait it you want to take something. IN ALL CLASSES YOU ARE EXPECTED TO BRING A BASIC KIT TO CLASS (Includes adhesives, glue and chalking inks as well as basic tools). Other supplies may also be needed.
